Privacy
What Britwise stores, and what it does not.
If you do not create an account
Everything stays on your device. Your answers, scores and review queue are saved in your browser鈥檚 local storage. Nothing is sent to us, and there is nothing on our side that identifies you.
If you create an account
We store your email address, an optional display name, an optional target test date, your reminder preferences, and your study progress: which questions you have answered, whether you got them right, and your test history. That is all of it.
It is stored on our own server in a database where every row is locked to your account, so no other user can read it. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.
Email and notifications
We email you to confirm your address and to reset your password. If you turn on daily reminders we also send a short study nudge at the time you choose. Browser notifications are optional: if you allow them we store a push subscription for this device so we can send that same nudge. You can turn either off on your profile.
Cookies
Signing in sets a cookie that keeps you signed in. It is required for accounts to work and cannot be turned off while you are signed in.
We also use Google Analytics to understand which parts of the app help people pass, such as how many mock tests get finished. This is optional and off until you accept it. Declining changes nothing about how the app works.
Analytics cookies are currently off.
Deleting your data
Resetting your progress in the app clears your answers, history and sprint from our database immediately. If you want your account and email removed entirely, email us and we will delete it.
